A second short page on the 'Therapeutae' health lifestyle topic.

The Therapeutae

'Health, Wellness, Youthfullness - Accessing 'the Living Source'.

We moved to Cambodia firstly, right at the end of 2009. It was a complete surprise, how lovely it was, and it had benefitted greatly from having once been part of French Indochine.

This heritage is Cambodia's 'holding all the aces'. The entire character of the place was very special. The tuk tuks they use here, and still do in abundance, are a feature that also makes being in Cambodia special.

Therefore, it was something of a worry when in the years just before covid, someone thought to introduce, the Indian style sort of 'golf carts' as if that was some kind of progress.

The capital Phnom Penh was also very good, with still maintaining the French heritage and something of the 'feel' of the 'Quiet American' which was set in Vietnam in the years leading to the war, and is a novel by Graham Greene. The government seemed to wisely keep the skyline as it was, with only two small 'skyscrapers'.

However, in their great wisdom, as I discovered when I saw the latest tourist videos on returning here after 5 years away because of 'covid', I was greatly surprised to see a video "Enjoy the Skyline of Phnom Penh".

I can promise you, no-one cares one bit about the 'skyline of Phnom Penh'! Some crazy person in government seems to want to change Cambodia to look like everywhere else. This is a huge mistake. By making it more "American' or Western, it only encourages the 'lower level' tourists which have already spoilt other beautiful, authentic places like Bali, and in Thailand. In fact someone has built Australian style low set homes in Laos. It should not have been allowed, and is the last thing anyone wants to see in Laos. The region has beautiful architecture, lovely houses, it doesn't need this happening.

We also strongly advise to avoid ever visiting Cambodia during their Khmer New Year. It is awful.

This is also something they have made unacceptable, and it never used to be as bad as it is now. If I am in Cambodia at that time, I will always leave the country and avoid this during the 3 days in Siem Reap where they ruin anyone's holdiay, or apparently it goes for a week in Phnom Penh.

At the moment, Cambodia is okay, but with signs that it will or may, lose its authenticiy and charm. We have featured some of the Health Spas here, and they are often beautifuy designed and do offer good quality services. It is better to go to the 'best' ones because the massage therapists are likely to be reliable. With the cheaper ones, it comme ci comme ca. I had the best ever Thai massage for $10 but when I went back, the massage practitioner was not so good. That can happen with Thai and Khmer style massages, some are better than others, but we are so lucky to have so much of this easily available here.

For me, of course it is about assisting the stuff I've had to go through to walk properly after the progression of the 'Atlas Realignment' 19 years ago. I would never have been able to do this kind of therapy around 5 times a week, if I was in Australia.

It is also very good to be able to do this therapy for your body, maybe twice a week, to help improve the alignment of your body.

So we do recommend this, but also anything you choose to do please seek advice from your professional health care provider.

The Therapeutae Way DOES recommend Structural Corrections for the Body.

We have covered some information on the 'Atlas Realignement' and the experience. It has taken many years and I encountered many difficulties which most would probably not want to experience.

However, it is good to do plenty of Khmer/Thai massage.

What I have also discovered with the Atlas Realignment, strangely discovered in fact, is that the right side of my face is 'out'. This became an awareness whwile I was, and still am, doing intensive Thai massage therapies to address the 'alignment' and also the answer to that 'appeared' for me. The Khmer and Thai massage does not cover this, and facial massage, although helpful and recomended along with head massage, still does not cover the specifics of the inner face and face muscle system. That has to be other execises that you are willing to put the time in for yourself.

One of the reasons for not being aligned to the 'True Source', or 'Living Source' also called 'Living Master' is because the head is no longer aligned to the 'Master Glands'. You can see that by addressing this, that part of the problem can be helped. It does require attending to the entire body structure though.

It remains necessary to keep to the 'Guidelines' and not to do the things that are stated not to do. The alignemnt has to be corrected or all such practices will follow the misalignment.

The other real killer that I had to deal with, and will cover, is being poisoned by a incompetent dentist when I went to work in Canberra. The mercury amalgam filling was inserted into my gum, and this caused all kind of damage, firstly to my life, and also in other ways. This is another reason for covering this topic. It is't about superficial things, even though why shouldn't we look attractive and healthy?

HAIR.

Obviously the Therapeutae Health way, is a vegetarian 'plant based' philosophy that is 'vegan friendly' which means there are protein creating foods which are not part of that philosophy.

The vegetarian diet is also part of the 'spiritual way' so that does mean the diet is plant based, and for this 'spiritual way' it forbids having eggs.

However, it doesn't say you can't use it on your hair. The reasons for the spiritual aspect outweigh any reasons for pushing the carnivorous diet, as the spiritual reasons must take priority. So too would a breatharian not be eating meat.

That said, as a vegetarian, possible health fanatic, you are probably eating a very well thought out daily intake of nourishment.

It is also possible to take a supplement that also assists the quality of your hair, so long as it is natural based. Biotin is a well known as good for the hair.

For washing your hair always use a completely natural hair cleansing product. No sulphates, no parabens and so on. Probably something made by someone who was passionate about creating a healthy product for hair. It is true that your body absorbs what you put on the skin and scalp, so it is important to choose wisely.

Some sources recommend Castor Oil for the hair as a conditioning treatment, but if you use that it can be difficult to get out of the hair. It can be really difficult to get it out of the hair. My view is that using natural, specially created hair products is best, and that using a similarly natural, wholistic serum on the scalp afterwards does help restore the natural ecology of the hair.

Some sources recommend not using a shampoo but using some or all of an egg yolk to quickly massage through your hair. Remember to use cold or luke warm water as you do not want to cook the egg. This is said to be a Victorian recipe from that era. I have not tried that as yet, but I will do soon.

If you are making a serious change in regimen for your hair washing, you probably need to be able to allow a few weeks for the changes to work. That means the hair may look not so good during the weeks of transition.

Other old recipes which are very good, are a cider vinegar rinse, or a beer rinse, and we will add the meethods for creating these later.

Before you wash your hair, use a scalp massager to stimulate your scalp.

You can do this on a daily basis, as I do - because I feel it wakes up my scalp and stimulates the blood circulation - or you can do it whenever you like. There are no rules except to do it. This will help with hair health, and with hair growth.

It is also good to use a scalp serum that obviously is a naturlal formula such as available here in Cambodia made from Amla fruit. Rosemary herb is very good for the scalp.

In fact I use this after I have finishing the washing and conditioner, and then I let my hair dry narurally.

However, I am still in a phase of restoring my hair after some hair treatments I was not happy with (Keratin) so I am using extra natural oils on the hair to make sure it is smooth but not weighed down.

After completing your hair cleansing routine, a sea salt spray can be good. This is something you can easily make yourself, rather than buying a commercial brand. Buy natural sea salt, and mix a few teaspoons in natural water and shake. Just use a little to scrunch through your hair. This has been recommended, but I have not tried this myself yet. However, it is on the list to do.

We all know by now that ideally we should have a good filter for the shower. For many of us, like myself, we are not in the position to do that. This probably makes the biggest difference of all, but if you can't get this, then that is the way it is. We still have to compensate and override the horrible chemicals that are in the water supply.

Always use a good hairbrush that is a quality that is safe for combing/brushing through wet hair.

I have to use what is available in Cambodia (which is a lot, and the supermarkets are more well stocked than in Australia). I am still trying to find out what happened to the supplier of fermented Noni juice.

A local entrepreneur has begun supplying pure, unfilterd local honey products from rural bee keepers, and from the forests in the regions of the hills (where they also had/have elephants!)

Vegans do not use e bee products, but it is fine for the vegetarian 'plant based' diet. The products include pollen which is a great source of nutrition, and they have also produced a skin cream and a skin serum. I am currently trying the skin cream, and will be buying the serum. We'll give some feedback on the things we are trying or are about to try. I am planning to try the egg yolk as the 'shampoo' probably only once every two weeks as recommended, but I will use the normal, but natural shampoo, in between that time.

Raw Eggs Grew My Hair Fast: Here's My Historical Hair Care Secret

Watch 6 mins. It is recommended to use only the egg yolk, not the egg white. She doesn't show the end result of her hair when dried, but from other exmples I have seen, the hair looks very good.
