However, this is typical of the demands Markle had because she believed the public and the royal family would be 'welcoming them back'. There are also demands that aallow Charles as a grandfather can see his grandchildren.
The role of the British Monarchy is a Unique Function of Higher Level of Diplomacy.
It is a function which can smooth through mundane political levels, and carries enormous weight. It is also absolutely unique in how foreign dignataries can be welcomed on State visits.
For this reason the institution of the monarchy is considerably more important than any off script behaviour of those who are the 'royal family'.
Clearly Meghan and Harry are far more than 'off script'. They are jeopardising the official function and role of what the real royals perform. So too for Andrew who was a spoilt brat and bully who was engaged in disgusting behaviour. But he was not a significant 'working royal'.
No-one is condoning anything from all of the ones who have behaved in unacceptable ways. Despite this, and hoping these aspects can be dealt with, the actual role of the monarchy is very specialized, and takes special skills.
For example Meghan does not have the necessary skills, nor does she even understand the role.
